Just wondering how someone can find out the number of zones travelled when taking Rome day trips. I see on the ATAC website tickets and passes with different number of zones. There is a line saying "find the zone for your municipality" but it is not a link.
I think I read somewhere that Frascati needs 3 zones, and Viterbo needs 5 zones, is this correct? And what about Tivoli?
Appreciate the help.

It's certainly hard to find a match between zones and locations. This page (in Italian and outdated, with prices in lire) indicates that Viterbo is in Zone D, and oops (editing), would indeed need a 5-zone ticket, because Rome counts for two zones.

I'm pretty sure Frascati needs a 3 zone ticket. It's about the same distance as the trip to Albano and we needed a 3 zone ticket for that.
