Has anyone ever ate at the Castello Vicchiomaggio near Greve? They offer a weekly winery tour, tasting and evening banquet for 39 Euros per adult. I saw a thread earlier this month where travelnymph mentioned this banquet.

We are staying nearby, just outside of Greve, but want to know if the Castello's culinary prowess matches their website which is quite well done.

Also, anybody have any experience with renting bikes in Greve and if so are there any recommended "easy" routes to take in the area.

Not looking for anything too strenuous but maybe a short ride down to Lamole for a lunch and then back.

Megan: Castello Vicchiomaggio is their name -- not to be confused apparently with a villa that goes by the same name which has been used by the film industry for its picturesque views and background. The castle's website is www.vicchiomaggio.it.
