We are planning to do one day trip to Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, and maybe Saturnia. And I have copied the Restaurants in that area. I think there were only 3. Has anyone had a nice lunch in any of those places and not posted a review?

The other day trip will take 2 hours to get there (according to our hostess) but we may want to get over to the coast one day. The two places that I have read the most about are Orbetello and Talamone. Of course we want to have a nice leisurely lunch (with wine) and then we want to have a good long walk before heading back. RR's photos of Talamone are lovely. We are birders and enjoy a good walk but is there a good place for lunch?
Or would Orbetello be better - maybe heading to the Tarot Garden after lunch? And does anyone have a great place for lunch? With a view!

Thanks for positives and negatives,
Carol

Only five miles from Saturnia is a restaurant that has been on my list of places I want to get to. The restaurant is Da Caino in Montemerano. It is quite expensive, but everything I have read about it has been very positive. Its web site is www.dacaino.it

If I were as close as you will be, I would be sure not to miss it!

Topping this and hoping for more restaurant suggestions. No 3 stars - more of the Mom & Pop type hopefully!

Dear Carol, A lovely hilltop restaurant on Monte Argentario is La Fontanina di S. Pietro. Views, great food and the local Ansonico white wine or that of La Parrina, from nearby Albinia.
There are some good trattorie in the center of Orbetello and also at Talamone. Fish of course and even eels that are bred in the lagoon.
