Our family of four used this service last month, and were very pleased.
The drivers were courteous, professional, and on time, using late model vehicles.
We spent nine days in Rome, and before leaving Canada we had arranged both the airport pickup and the return to Fiumicino the following week. Both ends went perfectly smoothly....I would recommend them.

I used romeshuttle.com. I don't know if that is the same company or not but they were over an hour late! It would have been way better to just take a cab!! (or walk!)

I used www.romeshuttlelimousine.com (the 35 Euro one) and was happy with their service. Their drivers are polite, but they see their job as getting you from the airport to your hotel, period. If you are expecting pleasant chit-chat in English and a guided tour en route, you may be disappointed.
With taxi fares from Fiumicino "supposedly" set at Euro 40, cabs become a very affordable alternative to shuttles...which may or may not go directly to your destination.
Jim, romeshuttlelimousine gives you a car to yourself that does take you and you alone (and whoever you are traveling with) directly to your destination. I'd much rather book them on line than have to fight with the cabbies at Fiumicino.
Another vote for Rome Shuttle Limousine at 35 euro one-way for a private car. A driver was waiting for us at the airport. On our way to the hotel he did point to the sites and told us what they were (okay, his English was very basic). On our return the driver arrived at the hotel at 3 pm sharp, just as we had ordered. www.romeshuttlelimousine.com
We didn't have a good experience with them. After I even called them confirming that morning that our guests were arriving at 10:00am with no checked bags the driver arrived over an hour late!! The worst part is I ordered a car service because my sister in law had just gotten out of the hospital and was quite weak. I thought it would be so much easier to just have someone waiting with their name on a board. It ended up being a nightmare! They waited over an hour and then the driver got lost to the hotel! 2 1/2hrs. after arriving they made it to the center of Rome! I say a cab would a lot easier!!

FYI We are in Italy now & used Rome-shuttle-limousine 5 times while in Rome the last of March & beginning of April. We arrived at Fiumicino over an hourr late. Swissair lost a piece of luggage. We had to file the report right then according to the airport rules. Our driver was there waiting for us with a smile. He took us by the Boca Verita, Forum & Coliseum, VE II monument and up to the door of our apartment building after waiting 3 hrs for us!
We used them again for airport service when we took side trips to Venice & Valencia. The return flight from Valencia was delayed almost 2 hours. Again our driver was there waiting for us...with a smile.
I would not hesitate in recommending Rome-shuttle-limousine to anyone as a dependable and inexpensive alternative to taxi service at Rome's 2 airports. The service was on time every time & the drivers were friendly. Some spoke English and others did not.
The fee was 35 euros for 3 with luggage before 9:30 p.m. and 40 euros after 9:30. The vehicles were all new & clean and yes we were the only passengers each of the 5 times. There are 2 e-mails:ec.tabarani@tiscali.it and info@rome-limousine-airport.com. The cell phone is (0039)348 514 1804.
I say all this because I believe the service L&W used with such bad service surely must be another company with a similar name.
Me, too, I'm pretty convinced that l&w must have used another company. I've heard nothing but good things about Rome Shuttle Limousine. Both on Slowtalk, on Fodors and on Tripadvisor.
No, we did use This company. I used them because of all the good reviews on ST. When I called them that morning he first tried to tell me his driver was there, then when that was obviously not the case, he tried to say the driver had to move the car. Right... for an hour?? Our case may have been the exception not the rule. I don't know.
