Last summer my engaged daughter and her fiance decided to plan a wedding in Tuscany. I said WHAT???? What's this??? Now, several months later after stumbling upon this wonderful site, I applaud the decision. I have been lurking here and find myself now recognizing names, thinking of many of you as old friends. I call my daughter saying Alessandra said,.... or, according to Pauline we should.....like I've actually been talking to you! My thanks to you all, because every minute of our plans have been made around your suggestions.

We will be a week in Rome, staying at the Rome-is-Home apartment. Wonderful people to work with just as you said. Then off to Cortona, staying in the Il Falconiere. On Saturday, June 4th at 5PM about 12 of us will be parading the streets of Cortona up to the town hall for the marriage ceremony, then back to Il Falconiere for the wedding feast. (I can hardly wait to visit Alessandra at her lovely shop). And, so if any one is around Cortona that day, join our "parade" and ceremony at town hall. It should be some fun!

You folks are the greatest!

Sandra! Congratulations to the Mother-of-the-Bride. I was fortunate enough to twice have that role. A wedding in Italy...lucky girl!
Best wishes to your daughter and your family on this trip. You are in for a treat when you meet Alex in person. She is a gem.

Hello,
Il Falconiere is so beautiful! When we first arrived some7 years ago we were completely bowled over by it's beauty.
We went back to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and Silvia pulled all the stops out to make it a memorable occasion. You will have the grounds and chapel lit by candles, it's so romantic!!!
If you look in the visitors book you will find us there!
That was over 5 years ago but we wish you the most joyous of days and Congratulations to the Bride and Groom.
If our flight was a little earlier we would be in time to see you but we'll just miss it,we are flying into Rome the very same day of the wedding.

Thank you Deborah and Wendy! Darn, Wendy, we just missed having you at our wedding, right?! And, I can't wait to meet Alessandra - so many folks have complimented her. She must be great. I have checked out her shop website and it looks beautiful. Will report back in with trip reports. Wendy, we will check out the guest book for your names. It is so nice to hear good things about Il Falconiere. Their website is awesome. It's a little pricey but probably well worth it... and you only go around once in this world, right? Italy here we come!
