As I've written before (and thanks to all of you who responded)' I'm planning a trip to north italy. Among other things I'm looking for a nice place for 3 days in the Dolomites. Selva di Val Gardena looks good in terms of its location, but there is a strange thing about it:
while hotels in other places offer half board, Selva di Val Gardena hotels offer only bed and breakfast. And here comes my question - where do people go for dinner?

Do any of you know the palce? Its Restaurants? Their Prices?

Thanks a lot
Margalit

We stayed three times at the Hotel Posat Bianco in Ortisei and found it to be delightful.

They offer dinner and breakfast.

Our trips were week-long ski trips, so I don't know their policy for a 3-day stay.

Ortisei offers easy access to two cable cars - one to the Alpe di Suisi and the other to Seceda.

Seceda has fantastic views of the Dolomites but you would be limited to the restaurant at the top which has excellent (light) food.

The Alpe di Suisi area offers equally beautiful views but also access to a whole network of lifts, trails, and restaurants.

Here's a link to restaurants in Val Gardena: there seem to be plenty of them. I've never been in the summer: but we had a week skiing on the Seiseralm/Alpe di Siusi plateau this January. It's a beautiful area: do try to get up onto the plateau, which is very special. As Stephen says, there's a lift up from Ortisei, which is a fairly short hop from Val gardena.

That will not be a problem in the wonderful Val Gardena. I would prefer to stay in Ortisei.

More on Ortisei:

Restaurant Demetz on the second floor of a small shopping arcade across from the church (on the left as you face it) is very nice.

For lighter fare Cafe Erika has some of the best pizza we have had in Italy. The loaded 'Erika' with a fresh egg is delicious. You will know they are open when their posterboard appears in the piazza across from the church.

The main street heading down the hill (pedestrian for much of the day) has several places that are pleasant after dinner in the evening.

The Hotel Adler also has a couple of pleasant after different spots.

I think the correct name of the restaurant that we enjoyed is Caesa da Four.

And, of course, that should be 'after dinner' and not different in my post above.
