Here's the Crocs website....check out ALL the styles. Go nuts! Some are cute, some are butt-ugly, all definitely look like Crocs. You can also buy Jibbitz here, and they offer free shipping on orders over $100! So, no need to scour the world for a store selling Crocs, buy 'em on-line! I love the link on the right side of the home page..."What a Croc!"
Robert, here's a pair of Crocs that might look a little less Croc-like with your sexy socks, especially in green. Very cool!
"I had these shoes made and 2 to 3 inch lifts inside and the heel was another 2 and half inches. I walked around that way, wherever I could without falling over." ~ Bobby Darin, on his attempts to appear taller Brenda
I have my timberland leather walking shoes but they look dorky with shorts. If I'm going to be dorky it will be dorky on purpose hence crocks and blue socks. It makes it obvious you are just being a comfortable tourist.
With leather shoes (or those lofer style "crocs") and shorts????
Diva, I was kidding about my croc import business. The food in Italian prison may be better than here but its hardly the place I'd like to be! RR
Don't know if I could go with the socks though...... for me that's a bit like socks and sandals. But of course you are on holidays - so, you could go naked under the Crocs

I have fake crocs with "diamonds" in the holes. They're a pale tan colour... (Kind of like myself.) I bought them to wear instead of Aqua-Shoes on the rocky beach of Rhodes where I am going next month. Then I can wear them as shoes too. Very "Princess-y"! Only $7.96!!!!
As I said before, during my visit to the Crocs store I 'discovered' that besides the ugly ones with holes they also manufacture other styles quite attractive. Well, I fell for your high-heels DMae and tried them on. Guess what? I looked like THIS. I guess I need a pair of better looking legs...
These are popular with boaters/sailors and a common site on the docks now! Another aspect I suspect it's fueling their appeal is the ease of taking on/off. I'm not a convert, but can understand the practicality they offer.
With the ending of summer our sales have begun. At a West Marine store in coastal GA last weekend, I noticed numerous styles were offered for less than 12 USD per pair. The add on ornaments were 7 USD.
Looking forward to that pic of the blue ones with the fish socks!

I refuse to try them either - my hiking sandals and earth shoes are plenty comfy for me. But I do have a couple of friends in nursing (on their feet constantly for long shifts) who absolutely swear by them.
I couldn't get the image of your pretty socks out of my mind, so I've just found a pattern, needles and yarn, to see if I can still knit with 4 needles. I couldn't find any groovy yarn like yours, though. Thanks for jogging me into action.
