quote: We just booked 3 nights in the Astoria Palace near Station Policlinco. Will this be a nice neighborhood to stroll around yet convenient to Old City?
The neigborhood is probably fine for walking around at night but not particularly convenient to the most of tourist areas of Rome. It is about 2.5 miles from the Campo de'Fiori, actually beyond the perimeter of what is known as the "centro storico". Certainly using the metro, cabs and buses, access to the center is not difficult, but I usually prefer to be right in the thick of things.
