My daughter in law would appreciate some info about diaper availability. She will be traveling by car from Rome to a villa near Pienza. She would like to bring just enough diapers for the first few days if she knew where to purchase and how readily available. She uses Huggies I believe and would desire a brand similar to them. Has anyone some answers for her?

The supermarkets carry a wide array of disposable diapers. Brands you will recognize even if you can't read the writing. Wherever she stops to stock up on her groceries for the villa she will find what she needs. I think I've seen them in the AutoGrills as well, haven't I? (Soon to be Grandma starting to pay attention to this kind of thing again after 27 years )

I was just surfing for you and there is an Italian huggies club and huggies site, when I try to look it is in Italian and you ahve to sign in! just put huggies in google!

I agree. Bring the Huggies you like and use at home. Honest to God, the last thing your daughter needs is to have to "search" for the right ones in stores and pharmacies while traveling. On the other hand, she can buy 'em when she finds 'em and feel happy all around.
My daughter got cranky over the sporadic availability of right-size Huggies or whatever the favorite was when she came to visit me in Florence with her (then) ten-month-old. Yes, even in Florence, nothing was for sure, diaper-wise. Stores in Italy can NEVER be relied upon to have specific stocks of goods you need. All part of the charm...empty shelves at Standa.
