Pools at rental properties usually close at the end of September. As time passes during the month of September, pool water gets cooler and the temperatures start to drop. In part, comfort level for swimming will depend on the temperature ranges during September.

Hi zootsi! When thinking about the new season, as rental owners we always have to choose a date for the opening/closing of the swimming pool; just in order to settle the price list and the low/medium/high seasons. By the way we always agree about the closing time: late September! We are not rigid in closing the pool on the day stated in the price list and much depends on the weather! For example last year we closed the pool 2 weeks later! If the weather is good and you do not fear cool water I am sure you will enjoy the swimming pool! Ciao Corinna

Zoots --- after the last two seasons of recording pool temperatures, I would say that the first two weeks in September are more comfortable for a swim than the last two weeks. The evening temperatures start to drop off in middle September, and it's really difficult for the the pool to get heated all they way back up during the day from the sun. The night temperatures always determine overall pool temperatures. I also would not consider paying extra for a pool in late Sept, as Rome Addict says. Our Northern European guests have no trouble going in well into October, when the water temperature is around 62, but I find that to be something they are used to because of the temperature of the North and Baltic Seas. For the rest of us, however, mid-September means things begin to change.... Di
