The owner of the villa that we are staying at suggested that we use the Curreri Viaggi bus service that runs a line from the Naples air port to Sorrento. Has anyone here ever taken this bus line? If so, do you know the approximate cost? I have been to their website and there are no prices there. Also, how does one purchase tickets? Do they have a location inside the airport? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that the one-way fare is 6 Euros. You can purchase the ticket EITHER from the bus driver, or from the transportation desk on the arrivals level of the airport terminal (I'm not sure which).

Hey GAC...thanks for the great information Gelato. Either way thats more info than I got from their website. I am just trying to figure how much cash I will need when I first arrive. Have to have enough to pay for bus fare and apartment deposit. Bad thing is my credit union limits ATM withdraws to $300 USD/day max. I can't get them to raise it Complain. $300 doesn't buy many Euros.

The bus stop for the Curreri bus to Sorrento is directly outside the arrival terminal at the Naples airport. The ride is about one hour, and the last 20 minutes are spectacular. Get a seat on the right side of the bus and you will be overlooking the cliffs into the Gulf of Naples.

Thanks for the information rbrazill...we will try and get on that side of the bus. I did receive an email from the bus company over the weekend. GAC was right on the money with the cost, and, they said that the tickets or fare is to be paid directly to the driver. Thanks travelers for all your help.
