Any one know good airfares from NY to Rome or Milan in Sept. Looking around I'm finding about $700 - $800. Thanks

Ray - I'm getting about $600 on British Airways on Travelocity for Sept departures as long as your willing to travel Mon - Wed

Oops - as Jim pointed out - I forgot to add my taxes in. Continental adds them in upfront but apparently travelocity doesn't. Sorry - once you figure that, it's not such a deal.

Have you considered Priceline?

We paid $900 per person for family to fly in June San Diego to Los Angeles to Frankfurt to Rome and including the home trip Venice to Frankfurt to Denver to San diego. I have a good AAA travel agent and always let her do the airfare, after my husband and I have struggled to find good deals on-line, it's just too much trouble, and then I always find my AAA travel agent can pretty much get the airfare for the same price as we can, only she knows how to hook us up right...I was very pleased with the United and Lufthansa combo on our Italy trip, for example, as for a family of 5 all of our luggage arrived on time and they took good care of us...especially Lufthansa, this was a good choice, chosen by my AAA travel agent.

You should be able to get it cheaper than that as you are flying from the east coast...

We are travelling from Halifax to Rome in September and got our best fare by far through justfares.com on Continental: Halifax-Newark-Rome, I think $710 U.S.

Curious...I just did the same search on mobissimo.com--for both Rome and Milan--and the lowest fare I found was on American for $691.00.

Delta was over $800.00...
