Several STers have recommended this apartment, listed by RomanHomes according to the reviews. However, the RomanHomes site no longer seems to list this apartment. Any one know what happened?

I don't know what happened - but that is too bad, it was a nice place.

Martin at www.villasitalia.com was listing an apartment a block from the Pantheon - we walked by the building from the outside and it looked nice. If you are facing the Pantheon, Martin's apartment is on the street on your left, the goes beside the Del Senato hotel. The Raphael was on the street behind you on your left - 2 blocks up - kitty corner from the Della Palma gelateria.

Marian, I stayed in an apartment called Il Corallo represented by Vacanza Bella last fall. It's small, better for one person than two, but very nice. I will get a review done someday. Oh, the guilt. You'll find their listings at www.vbella.com.

Sorry, forgot to say that I had considered the Roman Homes Rafael apartment for that same stay, and for some reason chose the other mentioned above.

Yes, I know what happened as I, too, was interested. I e-mailed asking about it and the charming man who runs RomanHomes--I forget his name--told me they no longer offer it because it has fallen below their standards.

Thanks, all. I shall continue my search, albeit slowly. I'm thinking about an apartment big enough for three, because if I do go to Rome it will be with my daughter and granddaughter.

We just spent 8 nights in Frattina B, on Via Frattina near the Spanish Steps, booked through Vacanza Bella. Ours slept 4 with two bedrooms and a/c. It was a lovely apartment that I would rent again in a second. I think there are apartments for 3 people as well.
