Arrive at Malpensa Thursday. Thursday either in Arona tasting cheese or off to Verona or Vicenza or Treviso forthe night. 4 nights in Venezia and then 6 nights in Montalcino. Ahhhhh!

We will be leaving Venezia at the crack of dawn, or at least as early as the car rental office opens on Tuesday April 26. Seems like we will just miss each other I fear!

I have been doing extra reps of my bicep and tricep exercises so I have the strength to lift all those glasses of wine! Can't wait to turn my chef and Assistant Manager on to the wonders of cicchetti! Do Mori or La Cantina is right on the way to our apartment depending on which apartment we stay at. And probably Anice Stellato for dinner that first night! And then maybe some jazz at Paradiso Perduto.

So Dean,I've heard buzz about your new restaurant from this site,but I have never heard you talk about it yourself. (maybe I missed it.) I would love to know more about it. Is it open yet? I sometimes pass through that way to visit relatives or going further southbound. I would love to stop in sometime, I'm sure with your exquisite tastes for food and wine it is a can't miss. Have a great trip!

Colleen, Dean told us about his restaurant on the Everything Else forum - HERE - you probably missed it! The moderators knew he was planning to do this, but he could not publicly post until it was a done deal and he had given notice at work.

Today was my last day! After 10 years, 4 months and 14 days, I am jobless! What a feeling.

We hope to open in June. Still in construction/remodel mode so its a little ahrd to predict. Also waiting on a lot of things to arrive or to be ordered and arrive. If I can hot June 15 I would be thrilled. June 29 would be pretty wonderful as well.
