I know we've discussed this before, but I don't have a very steep learning curve.

I have to pick up some visiting family from the Rome airport in a couple of weeks, and it suddenly occurred to me today that we won't all fit in one car.

So I thought I would rent a van, but I'm not sure how big of one I will need.

There will be four adults and two car-seated babes, so six passengers. And their luggage.

My options are a seven passenger or a nine passenger van. I was leaning towards a seven passenger, but thinking more about it maybe we'll need the extra space for bags.

Any advice appreciated.

Well now you have me singing (the slayerettes out there will know why Wink).

Anyway, find out if they are bringing a lot of kid stuff (strollers, pak n play, lots of clothes and toys). If not then the 7 would probably work but if they bring even half of what I used to bring then you will need the bigger van.

I'm voting for the 9 passenger van. No worries.

Brigolante,

Go with the 9 passenger van. I rented the Fiat Ducato mininbus( Auto Europe) for 9 passeners and 6 adults( with luggage) fit comfortably. No way we could have made it with a 7 passenger van.
