It looks like the latest time of day we can leave from Messina Centrale train station on Friday 6/20 to get to Cefalu is at 19:26 on the #729 Archimede.

Anyone have any info on any other public transportation that might leave later in the evening? I haven't had too much luck navigating the bus schedules online for this particular route, although it looks like the latest bus leaves at around 18:30 (I know I have that written somewhere in this pile)

We're really sticking to a budget this trip so a private transport would probably be out of our range.

And we won't be renting a car.
