My Mum and I are planning a trip to Italy in February 04, to Rome, Florence and possibly Venice. We will have a car so can get to out of the way places. We want to do an Italian cookery course whilst there, a one or two day course only. Does anyone have a recommendation for this? Anywhere in Tuscany a possibility. Thanks for your help.

Welcome Amber! You may want to check out Divina Cucina. Judy (AKA Diva) is a regular poster and offers classes (and market shopping) in Florence.

Another possibility is Tuscan Women Cook. Owned/operated by Bill and Patty Sutherland (also regular posters) that operates out of Montefollinico (sp) near Montepulciano in Tuscany. Though I'm not positive they do one-day classes.

I've also checked out new Classified Sections but the only cooking class I see there is near Naples/Amalfi. But on the slowtrav.com website you'll find a listing of other cooking classes - just click here.

Welcome, Amber!

We've also had many discussions posted in the Food/Drinks/Recipes Forum about cooking classes.

Use the "Find" icon to search on key words, and you'll "find" some good information!

Amber, besides my classes I am the IACP ( international Association of culinary Professionals) representative in Italy so will be glad to help you find a cooking class that fits your needs. Send me a private message!

Knocked my socks off with the fabulous quick responses! I'll set aside some time to have a good look at the SlowTrav website and the other links.
Thanks
Amber
