Hope you are all well. I am assisting several friends of mine plan a cruise stop in Naples in a couple of weeks.
I am looking for a private tour guide that would meet them in Pompeii and take them on an approx. 2 hr. tour of Pompeii. Does anyone have any suggestions as to who I could contact? I tried to contact a guide that was recommended by Rick Steeves as being very reputable but the email was returned to me.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can they just take a chance and arrive at Pompeii at 9 am and hope they will find a private guide?
Their limo driver will drop them off and pick them up at the end of the Pompeii tour.

For an upcoming cruise we have hired a driver who will pick us up in Sorrento and have asked him to hire a qualified Pompeii guide, which he assured us he did. It may be that your friends' driver is able to make a similar arrangement for them.
