Hi,

I am interested in staying at one of these apartments. Can anyone please give me some advice on these apartments? Any opinions? Also, I have not found any reviews but would like to know if anyone has stayed there. Here is the website:

http://www.excellenteurope.com/Tuscany/Gimignano%20Villa%20Colle/Convent.htm

The website site says that it is "high up" and there is another section of Colle di Val d'Elsa located "higher up". What does this mean? And what are the roads like to get to Colle de Val d'Elsa?

Thanks for your help.

Mona

Colle de Val d'Elsa is a nice town with two distinct sections: the historic center is on the top of a hill. On the lower level is the more modern outskirts of the town. In my memory, the lower level part of town had more restaurants, caffes, shops.

It looks like this place is in the countryside. Ask what kind of a walk it is to town - it might be along a busy road which would make it not a nice walk, or maybe it is a dirt road or a trail, which would be nice.

The roads all around Colle de Val d'Elsa are fine - this is a popular area, not that remote - a good location.

Don't forget to read our reviews for places in this area:
