Does anyone have any info about this Castle in Chianti, or any general advice about the cons of staying here from a logistic standpoint? Thanks!

Great to know this is a key location to stay in Tuscany. I have been perusing the recommended list and wonder now if there are other recommended places to stay in this area. Also, is this a particularly scenic part of Tuscany?
Thanks
Maureen

Castello di Gabbiano is about 15 km from Florence, towards Greve in Chianti. A pretty area, and the castle is nice too. One could do much worse.

We spent a month at Castello di Gabbiano last spring. Rented one of the two bedroom apartments which was wonderful. Antinori also has a bunch of nice apartments at Fonte di Medici. The view accomodations are wonderful, the view spectacular but it is a bit more expensive.
