I seem to be having difficulty locating flights from Rome to Catania. I am trying to fly to Catania from Rome on Saturday, May 15th, and can't seem to figure out how to do it. I prefer to do a single leg trip only (so I can be flexible about when to return to Rome. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
I flew Rome-Catania last June on Air One, but I bought my ticket thru Expedia (it was listed as a Luthansa flight). I think it was $138 round trip. May as well buy a rt ticket; I think it's more expensive to book a one way.
I've had goodluck with Windjet - this fall they had the cheapest price for Rome to Palermo, and we had no problems with them. I checked the website and from Rome to Catania is 29.99 one way (no flight available on that Sat, though). And it does look like you need to book a round trip. But, worth looking into if your schedule permits. Here's the booking page: http://s4.sntweb.it/volareweb_pvt.asp And here is their homepage: http://s4.sntweb.it/
Thanks, Jim. I just booked my flight for E55, a much better deal than that offered on Expedia. Do you know if the flights fill up? I'd like to wait as long as possible to book my return, which will be the 4th of June at the latest (I fly back to the US on the 5th), and as early as the 30th of May, because I'd like to leave flexibility in my trip (I have a free week after I finish language school, and don't want to pin it down too much). Are the flights more expensive, the later the booking? Thanks again.
