My husband, myself and our two boys (12 &14) will be in Italy for 10 days but only 3 ½ days in Rome in the beginning of August. I’m looking at these three apartments through the Bed & Breakfast Association of Rome. Which would you pick for tourists trying to cram everything into a way too short Rome visit?
We also have a reservation at the Kolbe Hotel in Rome but we had to change our dates and the price went up so I decide I’d look at other options.
I’m hoping I did this right and the links work. The agency’s website is http://b-b.rm.it
I don't know any of these apartments but if it was for me I would go with the Monti one. It's in a good location, it has lots of light (a very important thing for me) and it seems in a very good shape overall.
I do not know this agancy but i can reccommend this one:Pantheon View B&B. I have stayed there often and my friends just got back and stayed in a 4 person room with 2 kids and loved it. the location is fantastic, right at the pantheon http://www.pantheonview.it/

Hi tjm, B&B association is one of our SlowTrav favorites. If you page down on this page, Rome Rental Reviews, you'll see several reviews for this agency and apartments. I don't see any for the apartments you mention, except maybe Colosseo - we have an older one for Colosseo but it's before we tracked the code number, so I can't be sure that it's the same apartment. However, you can see that the feedback we've received for them has been positive.
Thanks everyone for your help. After looking at everything (new apts, hotels, B&Bs)for the millionith time, we decided to go with 109 Navona - Orso. The apt. rents for 190 euros a night but I was able to get 10% off so we'll have more money to spend on gelato.
Hi TJM, I was going to vote for #109 in the Navona area but as I scrolled down I see that you already have chosen that one. I love the area and suggest you try lunch or dinner at "Ciccia Bomba Pizza & Co." Via del Governo Vecchio, 76, tel. 06.68802108 which should be close to your apt. It is reviewed on slowtrav by Jane. We went there twice for dinner and had a wonderful experience. It gets filled up so make reservations for dinner but it is lovely food, casual atmosphere and a good bargain for the quality. Jane describes it well. (closed on Wednesday). Barb Cabot

Hi all! May I suggest 2 favourite restaurant in the Navona Area? One is Dar Pallaro, Largo del Pallaro, 15, Roma, Tel.: (39)(06)68801488. We stayed last september there for a GTG with some slowtravelers (Doru, Josette, Doug...) and was very nice. It's not expensive and the hostess is a true roman cook, she prepares every day different dishes and she decides what you will eat, you have only to eat and enjoy the roman meals! The other one is Ditirambo Piazza della Cancelleria 75 - 00186 Roma Tel. 06.68.71.626 : more expensive and creative, southern Italy cuisine, also vegetarian dishes, prosciutto, salami and cheese DOP, and a wide list of wines, mmmmhhh I'm getting hungry! ciao
Hi Margaret, My family stayed in this apartment 2 years ago. It was very well located, close to Piazza Navona and Piazza Fiori.
There is a grocery store on a little side street near the Pantheon, about a 8 minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment was very clean and had a spacious living room and fairly well stocked kitchen.
The master bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub, nice for relaxing after a long day of site seeing.
There is a cafe' right next door where you can get a cappuccino or coffee in the morning. There is a restaurant next door too and many people recommended it to us, but I don't remember the name of it. We didn't think it was that great any way.
If you have any questions, I would be happy to help. Laurie
