Hello,

I will be spending 8 nights in Puglia on my way to see family in Calabria. I would like to do 4 nights in Vieste and 4 in Lecce. Can anyone recommend any hotels or even better yet apartment rentals in the city of Vieste (not the outskirts)?

I have recently returned from Puglia and it is wonderful! Lecce has many rentals, I don't know Vieste. There are some very elegant apartment and B&B offerings in Lecce.

Because Puglia is so narrow, nowhere is far from the sea, but all points on the sea are not equal. I have reviewed our restaurant experiences on my blog, and although I have submitted them here, it takes a bit of time for them to go up. If you want to click through, over 3-4 articles I have written about half of our short but wonderful trip there.

I've stopped there for a quick wander around, having spent the previous night just along the coast in Pèschici. Nice town: it's come up in plenty of previous threads: here are some search results to get you started.
