Now that you have all solved my parking problems, I have another question. If I leave my car at Fiumicino Airport, what's the best way of finding our way to Campo de Fiori? Is it worth a taxi fare, or do you think there are better options?

There is a train to Termini and you can take a cab from Termini to Campo de Fiori - cost here is 18 euro for train round trip and 7-8 euro for cab. Option 2 is for 45-50 euro (depending on number of passengers and amount of luggage/time of day) you can take a cab. MAKE SURE you get an official city of Rome taxi. There is also a shuttle available from FCO to centro storico or you can book a private car and driver for not very much more than a cab.

If you're doing the train, you should take the FM1 from track 1 at the airport station which doesn't go to Termini. Get off that train at Trastevere (€5 fare). From there you might as well take a taxi, but you could also take tram 8 to Largo Argentina, where you're pretty close to Campo de' Fiori.

I agree with Andrew. And I would take the tram 8 to its end at Largo Argentino and walk from there.

I would as well, with one exception. The tram is often very crowded, so with luggage I wouldn't attempt it on weekday mornings until after everyone has made it to work (10 AM). I made this mistake once and it was uncomfortable for everyone.
