Hi, I am looking for a wedding reception venue for about 60-70 people in or around Rome. Somewhere that has accomodation, a nice garden for aperitifs etc. Could anyone recommend any hotels, castles or villas around Rome for this? I have looked in Tuscany but it is very expensive and Rome seems the easier option for friends flying in. Thanks
You dont mention if its accomodation for 60-70 or that is the number of people coming to the reception. Check out Zia Cathy's (they have a ST classified) which is located in Nepi, about l hour north of Rome, further afield I could recommend Borgo Monticelli in Umbria (accomodates about 50 in lovely apartments.
I've never been there, but I recently talked to someone who had been at a conference at the Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna just outside of Rome and he raved about it. Given the size of the conference he attended, it must be big enough to accommodate your group. Reading the notes on their web site, they mention both a cloister and a small church within the hotel. Sounds interesting.
