Looking for a recommendation on a one day cooking class in Umbria (in September). Some place that is more than just pasta and that you have raved about.

We are staying in Spoleto but Have Apron, Will Travel.

Palladin, we've had several members take cooking classes with Alla Madonna Del Piatto and have heard nothing but raves:

ColleenK wrote about it here, Postcard - Ultimate Umbrian Experiences, Wine and Food
SandraC wrote about it on her blog, Seriously......light lasagne!

She has a advertisement with us here. If you do a search, you'll come up with more.

You can also check our other advertisements for some other Umbrian cooking classes.

Letizia at La Madonna del Piatto gives cooking classes. I know her classes will be featured on "A Road Retraveled" travel show. She has a blog about her cooking classes in Assisi: check it and see if it's what you're looking for or if you want something fancier.

Hi there!

I've just returned from another trip to Italy and another of Letizia's great classes at Alla Madonna del Piatto. This was my third class with her -- and this time, no pasta!

Letizia really tries to tailor her class to her students' particular interests and I feel I learn a lot every time I'm there.

Plus, her place is gorgeous with incredible views. I can't say enough good things about Letizia and her classes.

It wouldn't be very hard to reach her from Spoleto, either driving or by train.
Cheers,
Sandra
