The link Marian posted above will help you with differences in the rules of the road, but to answer from a "how it feels driving" perspective, the autostrade and country roads feel fairly similar to their French counterparts, but I think the city driving (depending vastly on where you are) is just a little more frenzied. Not enough that if you're comfortable driving in French cities you'll have any real problem, just enough to give you a little adreniline edge maybe
