Hi,

I thought I should share an accidental discovery we made last Saturday: La taverna di Casciano.

We thought we were going to a pizzeria called Nexus in Casciano di Murlo, south of Siena, and we found out (upon arrival) that the pizzeria no longer existed! Instead, it is now a very good and inexpensive restaurant serving Brunello as vino della casa and we had a fantastic meal for 17 euros each.

I'll write a review. I was just dying to share this fantastic discovery!

They are closed on Thursday. I stole a menu... the most expensive thing on the menu costs 8 euros... and it's tagliata!!!

Dang, I've only been back from Italy for ten days and already you've managed to get my mouth watering for Italian food!

thanks so much for this information! my friends/family are always looking for new restaurants to try and this sounds wonderful.
