American Airlines - non-stop round trip JFK to Rome in May, $614. On their web site only. Not as good as yesterday's deal

Ugh! Just purchased two r/t tickets for end of may NY-Rome the other day for $835 each, and now it's down to $701. Guess I knew this would happen! Uh-uh No!

Yes, and it was gone by 10:00 am. How do you deal with this without driving youself crazy? By the way, my various "deal detectors" did not pick up this one or the one on Delta yesterday.

I missed a deal Orbitz was running for RT from Newark to Rome for 475.00. I winded up paying 830.00

Wow, I guess I got pretty lucky when we bought our tickets for Milan - round trip on KLM/Northwest (with a stop in Amsterdam) from Washignton Dulles for $382.15.

I bought through BestFares. I've been a member for about the last three or four years.

It actually was still showing up in the early afternoon....I got an e-mail from a consolidator around 1 pm that when she tried to finalize the ticket, the system showed that the fare had changed from under $400 to $1,300 for the same itinerary.
