Looks like Casin dei Nobili, a favorite of mine and other members here, has opened a second location - on the Zattere!

It looks like they might not have pizza at this location, but who cares with this view? Big Grin

Ruth is in Venice so hopefully she will get over there to check it out.

The Zattere is turning into a sort of Fondamenta Misercordia - a lot of good places opening up over there!

Yep...great view, double the Nobili prices (Ruth and I considered it for a lunch prospect.)

I'll stick with the Chioschetta, I think!

Are the prices really double? We ate at both on our trip in March (on going back to the original location, it was full, but we were told there were tables at the other place, perhaps a ten minute walk). Other than the lack of pizza (at least at the time), the menus and prices seemed pretty similar (I would have said the prices were identical, but that would require my having a menu in front of me). We enjoyed both. The new restaurant was almost empty when we were there, which made the experience less fun.

Those on the scene now know more, of course.

€15 primo, €22 secondo...lunch.

Lots of places I'd (personally, of course) rather pay that kind of money and eat better, frankly. No view, of course. Smile

But then, I am not on vacation. Just call me the Venetian Curmudgeon!
