We are looking to take a day trip to the Benedictine Monastery in Subiaco. Anyone done that? What train? How much time should we allow? Can you really not take photos in the Abbey? Thanks!

I too would be interested in anyone's ideas. The nearest train station is 18 km away, at Roviano or Arsoli: so you're looking for a pair of buses, to and from. It seems difficult.

Yes, I had read that it is a bus ride (was hoping for a train)... so what would be the distance in time on a bus to Subiaco?
