Does the 72 hr pass cover the Alilaguna?.
I know I can take the ACTV bus but I don't think we will, if we take the bus it will be the ATVO,then transfer to the Vap. RR

No. ACTV vaporetti and buses and the Alilaguna are run by different companies. As far as I know the only pass that covers both is the Venice Card with the Alilaguna add on.

What Ms. B said, and it doesn't save money to include it...just time to purchase the tickets should you know for sure you'll be using them.

If possible, could some one clarify if the blue/red Venice cards include travel to the cruise piers? In late Sept., I will be flying into VCE and plan on taking a water taxi (a far more expensive but definitely more direct and enchanting entrance to Venice) to Westin's E & R. A few days later, I plan on boarding a cruise ship. If I buy either card, will it include transportation to the cruise pier for embarkation? Or, must I still go the more expensive water taxi route? I expect to do the touristy things )like visit the Guggenheim, take the Secret Itinerary of the Doge's Palace, and visit Murano, Burano, and Torcello) during this first visit and am wondering if buying either card is really a cost-saving idea instead of going ala carte so to speak. Any advice and counsel will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Robert
I find little difference between the buses and I now take the ACTV bus. the difference in time to PR is perhaps a few minutes and I haven't had any problem with luggage. It also seems to me that the ACTV buses may be more frequent - not sure about that.
