I rented a SMART car for the wk and had to drive into Naples today... took the A1 and was fine until close to Naples, still, I was able to handle it. Allright: the five messages that can be heard EVERY DAY on the autostrada traffic bulletin. These five messages have been heard every single day ever since the bulletin strted, not missing one single day.
1. "Incolonnamenti sull'A4 tra Como e la barriera con la Svizzera" (car columns on A4 between Como and the Switzerland border).
2. "traffico rallentato sulla tangenziale nord di Milano" (Slow traffic on the Milano north "tangenziale", the urban autostrada).
3. "Incolonnamenti per traffico sulla A1 in direzione Roma tra Firenze Sud e Firenze Certosa" (Car columns due to heavy traffic on A1 between Firenze Sud and Firenze Certosa).
4. "Traffico rallentato sul raccordo anulare di Roma" (Slow traffic on the Rome "Raccordo anulare", the urban autostrada).
5. "Raffiche di vento sulla A1 all'altezza di Candela" (wind gusts on A1 at Candela).
Sometimes, the latter comes with the suggestion that vans and trucks should better take another route.
