Thanks for the report and the fantastic pics. (I especially like the pic of Siena...great shot!)
I am heading to the Toscana area a week from tomorrow. Your trip report was timely and makes the anticipation of our trip even more exhilarating.

I think we did some of this trip last month with our daughter who was studying in Siena, maybe in reverse, since we began in Siena, went to the Cinque Terre and ended in Rome. Still working on my notes and photos.
Tuscany in the spring was just too lovely - budding trees, wisteria, and the most beautiful skies.
We also stayed at the Borgo Grondaie in Siena and I thought it was a very charming place, tucked behind the train station, but with a real sense of country, and yes, the breakfasts were wonderful.
Reading your report this am brought it all back, and as soom as I can get all the receipts from my husband, I may be ready to write.
