Has anyone stayed at the Roman Residence? Would you recommend this BB? Also, is Termini Station too distant from the historic sites? Thanks.

termini is too distant if you want to walk easily to all the sites. it is a hub for Metro and bus transport, so that you can easily get to the sites by metro or bus. For example the Colosseum is two Metro stops away on Metro B from termini. I have stayed near Termini more that once on short stays. It is the cheapest location for lodging in Rome unless you want to stay way out at the edges. Termini lacks atmosphere. it is modern looking and slightly worn looking arond the edges. if that bothers you then you should seek lodging in another area.
I have not have any problem with being robbed or harrased near Termini even after dark.
