We have tickets to Accademia, two tours with Millenia tours in Rome, night walking and vatican. Plan to visit Pompei, Capri, while in Amalfi, Oldest daughter wants to see Piza, plan to drive around tuscany, including Siena, Florence. Any last advice. We have travel insurance, passports, ATM cards, digital cameras, good walking sandals. Anything else? We are so excited. Thank you all for this web site.
Make copies of your passports. Keep one set at home and take another with you. Taking presc. meds? Go to your pharmacist and get a print out of your meds, or take your original bottles. Put an itinerary inside each piece of luggage, in case it gets lost. (Make sure phone numbers and dates are there)Good sense to write down your credit card numbers and cc company phone numbers too. Um, Do you have extra batteries for your camera? If not, charger and adapters. Also extra memory sticks. Did you get international drivers license? Extra glasses, sun glasses and contacts. Home addresses for post cards. Can't think of anything else. Maybe I'll think of more after I finish my glass of vino here... Have tons of fun, Joy

Thanks so much, We do have international driving permit, Do we make copy of just info page of passport, thanks for the other advice! I am printing off so I don't forget! Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, What I would sugegst is going to your google search and type in packing travel tips. Rick Steves has a great breakdown, and there are many more.
I had a near miss on my passport while in Germany-Czech Republik a few years ago. (They miss filed my passport in with someone elses room number) I panicked because, well, I wasn't very comfortable yet inside the Czech Republik, and the communication thing.. so now I take copies of each page of my passport, and keep one with my family at home just in case.
I wish you a fond farewell. Joy

Hey...enjoy yourself! My husband and I will be there at the same time. We leave for Florence on June 10th. If this is your first trip feel free to ask plenty of questions. You wont want to come back.
