Queen Pauline returns home sometime today, although we probably won't see her and her cane on the message board until tomorrow. Welcome home, Pauline and Steve!

Chris, I'm impressed by your modified graemlin! Pauline really got a kick out of using that cane - especially after she no longer needed it!
The sad truth is, that even with a bad back and using a cane, Pauline was hard for me to keep up with. I'd try "drafting" her as she crossed a street, and half the time I'd wind up waving to her from the other side! That's when I learned to draft old ladies and women pushing baby carriages.
... If their flights are on time, she and Steve should be home at around 11pm Santa Fe time tonight.

We are home and I spent the first few hours walking around saying "so happy, so happy" (like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday which we watched on the computer in Rome). I am happy to report bright sunshine, no rain and not even that cold here at home. Plus the cats really missed us and are following us both around all the time.
Bad news is that I was looking forward to the wonderful peace and quiet of Santa Fe only to find a bulldozer in the lot next to us where they are finally putting in a new house. Argh - noise!!
Now I can start my course of treatments from my chiropractor and fix this darn back problem (I already saw him yesterday).
I haven't used the cane since we got home - but I guess it will be a nice souvenir!!
