Hi,

Couldn’t resist, I just have to add my two cents here…

First, thank you for all the good suggestions (I realise I now have a few more books to buy before going to Rome Wink Grin).

As I am still in the planning stages, I worry that I’m trying to cram too much in a short time as I have no notion of the distances. I live in Portugal and this trip planning started with a “why don’t I go to Rome for a weekend” kind of dare – I currently aiming for a 10 day trip(with a spa session in Rome included Cool).

I seem to have a problem these days with the books I buy: they’re all related toRome one way or another (just to give a sample of this one-track-mind “affliction” right now I have Indro Montanelli‘s History of Rome, Steven Saylor’s Roma, 3 Lindsey Davies books and The Mammoth Book of Eyewitness for Ancient Rome) and yesterday was no exception. I told myself I was just browsing (how naïve can one be, right?) and this book just glued itself to my fingers: “Rome – History and Mystery – 24 walking tours" by Jennifer Griffiths and it's published by AA Publishing.
