Buongiorno... You can start by reviewing the ST classified ads for vacation rentals and hotels/agritursimi for Tuscany. Most rentals do go from Saturday to Saturday but might make an exception and add a day to accomodate the longer stay you are wishing. Diana

I left you a private message. And I agree with Diana: take a look at the reviews and if you see something you like, try and contact them anyway. Ciao!

I rented from these people last year and they worked with me not doing a Sat-Sat but I rented their personal flat so not sure about the Marco apartments. The village was in a beautiful setting up a winding road from Loro Ciuffenna.We day tripped to Arezzo, Florence and Sienna and many small mountain villages.Contact is in Pittsburg and very helpful to talk to on the phone. http://www.werentitaly.com/marco2.htm

Thank you all so much for responding. In the past month or so, I have reviewed probably most of the vacation rentals, agritourism spots, message boards and just about everwhere else on this site.. and many other sites. Even though I have not found the unit of my dreams...I have learned a great deal about Tuscany, which should serve me well when we go touring. I have found a place that might work but have to move units during my stay. Anyone familiar with IL Vecchio Mulino near Radicondoli? Also found a nice large unit in the new part of Certaldo.. is this a town you would recommend staying in for 15 days?
Thanks again for your help

hello, i'm not familiar with "il vecchio mulino", but i LOVE the old certaldo... certaldo alto. once i stayed at "il castello", which really is a castle. the first night, while eating dinner downstairs in their restaurant, there was a huge thunderstorm. it just added to the charm. i felt like a princess in the old white iron bed. the next morning, we were awaken by the church bells. it was heaven. the village of certaldo alto has the oldest piazza in tuscany. just walk up the hill and enjoy! oh, to answer your last question - i think certaldo is a good spot to base out of since its located within driving distance to lots of spectacular places.

Hi there -
I have just finished researching our trip in Oct and ran across this lovely place in Tuscany on border with Umbria and VERY close to Cortona and within easy access to Southern Tuscany- please tell Jutta(the owner) that I sent you (Jane) here is the link:
[URL=www.vrbo.com/53804 [URL=http://www.vrbo.com/47564
One of the listings pertains to the main house(Casabianca) and one is for the apartment (which meets all your requirements)- lovely interior, 2 private terraces, etc etc....and she sounds very, very nice....
I think she will work with you on the price for 2 weeks + and may be flexible on arr/dep days.
Buona fortuna !!!

www.agriturismo.com has a lot of places that have daily rates. I've used them several times and have been very satisfied. I generally find a place on that site that I'm interested in and then look for their direct e-mail and contact them directly. Sometimes I have to "google" the property name and look through a page or two before I find the properties own email and web site. A rule of thumb that I use is if they show pictures of the bath, I'm more inclined to book there. I've stayed near Florence, in the Cinque Terre, near Pienza, near Naples and near Gerve at very nice reasonably priced places. However, almost all the one's I've stayed require a car to get there. Agriturismo.com is a listing site only and does no booking. You deal directly with the property.
