We were there over Easter weekend a couple of years ago and I don't remember anything being closed, but maybe a local will fill you in for sure. I do remember the Easter festivities being wonderful in Florence!

florence may be more crowded than usual because its easter, but it sticks to the same schedule for sites being open or closed.
in fact, this is a great time to be in florence just because you can witness the annual "scoppio del carro", which is the "explosion of the cart". this is one of the weirdest traditions i've come across, but i love it.
this event has been going on for more than 300 years and it involves a huge decorated wagon pulled by oxen through the streets, ending up at the basilica di s. marie del fiore. at some point, the archbishop lights a dove-shaped missle on fire, which flies down a wire, hitting the cart, and the whole thing explodes into fireworks! its great fun to watch. so go and enjoy!
