I would like to try and get a ticket to see Figaro on Oct 22nd at La Scala. The online ticket sales from the box office start on Aug 26th for this performance, however I notice that there are tickets available from other ticket brokers now.
One site in the uk here has the best prices I have found so far, but I'm wondering if I should take the chance and wait for Aug 26th to order direct from the theatre box office?
Any advice, opinions, etc would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you can get tickets, do it. Watch out for "box" tickets with limited view of the stage (in some, you can't see the stage at all). Don't miss a visit to the WC at intermission. ---Marlene

Where did you find the prices...I couldn't find them at the website...
I clicked on the 'Buy' link for the date I wanted, on the calendar.
Marlene, yes, I have noticed from looking at the La Scala website where you can see the virtual view for various box seats, that many have an obscured view.
What are the gallery seats like? I have a problem with heights, so getting to a seat can be hair-raising, although once I'm safely seated I'm usually okay.

Hope you don't mind me topping this, but since there are some other Milan topics on the go right now, I'm hoping a few Milan experts will see this. Thanks!

Yesterday I checked and there were no seats left for the opera on Oct 22, so I bought a ticket for the ballet on the 23rd.
This morning I checked again, just for the heck of it, and there were opera tickets!! Now I am going to see Figaro on Wed, and La Dame aux Camilias on Thursday.
I am jumping up and down with excitement!
