My sister and her husband will have only one day to try to see the best of Rome. They are looking for a guide or driver who can pick them up from their hotel at the airport. Do any of you have a suggestion? Thank you!

We've used RomaLimo for our runs in from the airport and on a couple of trips had made some "touring" pit stops along the way. I know they do tours though, so you can give them a call.

We've also used Peter Kilby on several occassions but I'm not sure if he can do the airport pickup (he usually trains into Rome) but it could definitely be worth checking as he's a great guide - lots of fun. If you go through my trip reports, I've written about several days with him. He does private tours so they can be a bit pricey.

We've also used 3 Millennia which hosts group tours. Again, not sure about the airport pick-up but if they can get into the city on their own, they do small group tours and private tours. I think the small group tours are pretty reasonable, though I'm not familiar with their private tour pricing.

You could email Allison Beatty (allisonbeaty at hotmail.com)and get a price from her. My sister-in-law arranged for a tour of Ancient Rome and for a Vatican tour with her two years ago. She's originally from California, is married to an Italian, and is a licensed Rome guide.
