Just a reminder to be careful to what you are paying when taking taxis in Rome, especially at Ciampino airport.

Although the Municipality of Rome is trying hard to control and prevent abuses, still some taxi drivers are overcharging unaware passangers.

In the news today a case where two passengers (Italians BTW) were charged more than 100 Euro for a ride that should have been 30 Euro based on the flat rate from Ciampino.

Always read the leaflet inside the taxi and remember that there are flat rates from/to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
