Because the traffic to the Slow Travel Talk message board has doubled in the last year, we decided the time has come to assign moderators to specific forums. This allows moderators to concentrate more on their forum instead of trying to cover all of them.
Moderators for each forum are listed at the top of the forum page. To contact them, click on the member name and send them a private message or click on the ALERT button for the post and the moderators will get your message.
This is how we have divided up the forum assignments.
Everything About Travel: Pauline
Italy: Amy, Doru, Jonathan, Kim, Roz
France: Chris
Spain: Shannon
United Kingdom and Ireland: Pauline
Technology: Marta
Language Forums: David, Doru
Food/Drinks/Recipes: Kim
Colleen and Maureen are "roving moderators", helping out on all forums.
---------------------
You will notice three new moderators in our group:
- Shannon will run the Spain and Portugal forum.
- David, one of the original moderators from June 2001 (when it all began), is coming back to help us run the Language forums.
- Roz will be part of Team Italy.

Wendy, since I'm also an "-een", I'm curious just as to how you would pronounce Maureen and Colleen. (Pauleeeeen, Sorry for being slightly off topic here, but my curiosity got the best of me!)
Wendy, tell us on this thread! I notice that people do say my name different in England than in the US and Canada. The emphasis is on the beginning and sounds like POH-leen. Is that right? Whereas, in the US it is more like paw-LEEN.
As we get ready for our trip to England, in my mind I hear Jonathan saying "white sauce" and then laughing. Something to do with how I said something with too much emphasis on one word ("highway code" I think it was).
