Book Chat at 2:00 P.M. MST on Saturday, April 4th in the Gold Star Chat Room. Please join us, even if you haven't read Monster of Florence. We'd be delighted with your company!
"Tom Cruise was gripped by The Monster of Florence, which sold 300,000 copies in the U.S. When he met Mr Spezi at the Italian premiere of Valkyrie in Rome in January, he told him his character would be the star of the film.
"I met Cruise with Christopher McQuarrie, his screenwriter," said Mr Spezi. "Tom said they weren't interested in making yet another film about a serial killer but were fascinated by the story of how two writers got caught up in the investigation and suffered the consequences." ~ Peter Popham

You guys, I am so sorry. I hope you will forgive me. I have been having some turmoil in my life and that combined with the Big M, has made me so scattered. I wasn't kidding about the Ginko.
I totally forgot about book club yesterday. In fact I remembered at at 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
Again I am so sorry and I am looking forward to reading the transcript.
Ginger, Here is the link for the transcript for Monster of Florence by Douglas Prescott and Mario Spezi
April 19th is our next book club and The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Hood is our book selection for April! Here is the link to my new post about this month's book choice.
"This might sound peculiar, but after I finished writing The Secret Life of Bees, I actually felt homesick for the pink house. I missed being with Lily, August, May, June, Rosaleen, and the Daughters of Mary. I moped around for a couple of weeks as if all my friends had moved away. I was sure that I would never revisit the story. I didn’t want to risk tampering with the world I’d created. I wanted to freeze Lily at this moment of her life, fourteen forever, living in the pink house." ~ Sue Monk Kidd Brenda
