During the next few months, we will be rolling out three phases that will update the look and functionality of Slow Travel. The content will stay the same. We'll just have a better way for you (or future visitors) to get to the content and know that it IS out there!
The first phase will consist of a new global header which will have dynamic tabbing, drop down menus and better categorization of information.
Again, the content and the pages the links will point to will be the same but some of the category "names" might change. Such as: Travelogues (formerly Trip Reports), Travel Guides (formerly Trip Notes), Travel Services (formerly Classified Ads). These category name changes aren't final but be aware that there might be a change.
We will provide you with more information as we get closer to each phase and roll out.
As always, you are welcome to contact me if you have questions/concerns!
The launch of the global navigation was postponed as we reviewed our current categories. Our moderators also had a chance to provide their feedback, and we made more changes/adjustments based on this feedback.
The new navigation is now with our Quality Assurance department and should launch by the end of this week.
Also, we've created a page (and link) for Nan McElroy in our Travel Stories Section to accomodate for the growing number of articles we will be receiving from her. As you may have noticed, this expanded the second navigation bar one more line: http://www.slowtrav.com/nan/index.htm
The look of this will be fixed once this section has been incorporated into our new navigation.
