I am so slammed with stuff right now I thought I had posted about this but I hadn't. Frown

If I did and I am just not seeing it, please forgive me.

Anyhow tomorrow is chat night and the topic is "shopping before your trip."

Sound good? If so see you in the chat room tomorrow at 4:00 PM Pacific, 7:00 PM Eastern.

Normally tomorrow would be a casual chat but I've missed a couple so tomorrow and next Thursday will be scheduled chats, then back to first and third Thursdays again after that.

Like she says --- Chat tomorrow on "Shopping before your trip" -- what to buy before you go.

To prepare for this chat, have ready the usual virtual refreshments.

Gee, do you think I'll be able to join you from my United flight from Washington DC to Paris?

My two cent's worth early - don't forget to talk about how many things you buy and then return! I probably hold the record in that category...you'd think I'd learn by now, but I keep on doing it.

But Palma is away in Scotsdale - how can we possibly have a meaningful shopping chat without her? Wink Grin

Can't make it - tonight is Becky's concert.

But if someone mentions a good travel raincoat (that folds really small), let me know. I need to buy one of those.

Kim,
I have a microfiber raincoat from Travelsmith that folds up and fits into a little pouch! I bought it at one of their traveling "warehouse" sales at a greatly reduced price, so you might want to keep an eye out for one near you.

**edited to add: I just realized I've had it for almost 8 years -- and it still looks great.

Colleen - I have one too but it's too big Big Grin.

Hmmm..maybe I'll go put it on offer in the freecycle section.

What are traveling warehouse sales? How do you find out about them?

Woo hoo! Go, Kim.

I've found the warehouse/overstock sale notices in the newspaper - usually the Travelsmith logo will catch my eye. The sales are usually on Friday and Saturday in a fairgrounds exhibit hall. I think they come around here a couple of times a year - I'd expect the same in your area?

I'll try to come , right up my alley...as I spent the afternoon in my closet sorting the take and not take clothes to Italy. I have clothes over there but can't really remember what they are. Confused How stupid is that? Once again menopausal amnesia takes hold! I have a meeting at 7:30 so I will ahve to leave early. Palma The Queen has her laptop so she may surprise us all and pop in. This is probably a really stupid question Blushingbut whenever I see "mountain time" I have no idea to work out how to convert that to UK time, and is mountain time based on a particular mountain range?

I had that problem too: go to wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/mountain-time and they have all the equivalents, showing user time (ie here in the UK) to the left, the required time (eg mountain time or pacific time) that you select in the centre and GMT to the right.

If you google mountain time, this is the first entry that comes up and you can link straight thru'

If you were thinking of chatting tonight (see other thread) it will be at midnight for us - go easy on the Horlicks
