Hi Everyone,

We made a few changes to the Slowtravel homepage to help highlight more of what our community offers:

1) Added a "who's blogging" now section found on the right column which will highlight a couple of our top active bloggers

2) Added a "photo of the week" section which corresponds to the photo of the week that Marta announces here on the forums. Now you (and new visitors) can see what the photo is even if you are not on the forums!

3) Removed many of the links that can be easily found on the global header and made redundant.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in to ST today....It looks great. Easy to read and find things. Thank you for keeping a caring eye on things.

I miss the sunglasses guy!
It took me quite a while to figure out how to find the message board...can we have him back, please? I finally found the link to the board, but it took some time and some looking!
I think it may be very difficult for new people to find this great conversation place, without the sunglasses guy icon. This message board is such an active part of what makes this site such a fantastic place, and I hate to think it will be less well-advertised and more difficult for people to find.

I like the idea of the photo of the week being on the home page. Takes up a lot of space, but it looks good.
