At about 11am Pacific on Monday, we’re going to be bringing down SlowPhotos and certain parts of the SlowTrav blogs (users won’t be able to use the admin, make new posts, or post comments) for about 15-30 minutes while we move the MySQL databases to a new server. This move is going to help us get better, more frequent backups and will allow our MySQL DBA to pay more attention to them. There may also be some performance increase associated with this move, although I’m not sure that it will be noticeable.

Everything is back up and running. If you notice anything funny with the website (not these forums), just let me know. Thanks!
