This applies only for members posting on the board with links to their business websites in their signatures. Linking to your trip report or any travel notes on Slow Travel or to your personal blog or personal website is fine.

The signature is set in the member profile - GO > MY SPACE > PROFILE - and can be displayed at the bottom of every post.

We have decided that we want shorter signatures for businesses posting on the message board. Some of the longer signatures look too commercial and we think make the board feel more commercial. This is not a commercial message board, but is a travel community message board. We welcome travel business people and travelers to post here; we are just fine tuning a few things now. On this message board, we are all travelers, even if traveling is our "business".

If you have a link to any business in your signature, please follow these rules for "commercial" signatures:

1. You can link to your business website and display either the URL or a simple text version of your business name. No advertising sentences or phrases are allowed.

For example:

2. You can link to your classified using either the "caption" from your classified or the text "Slow Travel Classified Listing" or "We Support Slow Travel".

For example:
Slow Travel Classified Listing
Chow Venice! A Guide to Eating and Drinking in Venice, Italy

3. You can link to your blog using the URL or the text name of your blog.

For example:

It is recommended that you include your name in your signature, or put a line of dashes to somehow set it off from the rest of your post.
